History & Mission

History & Heritage

Calvary Christian School was established in 1975 as a ministry of Calvary Church of Santa Ana. Calvary Christian Preschool then began in 1976. The school was established under Pastor Michael Samsvick’s leadership for the purpose of providing a Christian-based education for its families. Since its inception, the school has reached past the church family and now positively impacts the community with excellent Christian-based education for all students preschool through eighth grade.

Our school has shown a consistently strong academic program. Graduates from Calvary have tested high in school placement exams, many being placed into honors and AP classes. Our experienced, qualified faculty, provide an excellent spiritual and academic education for the students. The students, faculty, staff, and parents demonstrate dedication to each other and the school. We praise God for the spirit of unity and His blessings which we experience daily.

Christ-Centered Mission

To train up Christian young people to positively impact their world for Christ.

Head & Heart Philosophy

At Calvary Christian School we often use the phrase, “Sharpening Minds & Transforming Hearts,” to describe our purpose. We are committed to sharpening minds by providing challenging academics, which promote critical thinking skills. We seek the transforming of hearts through a nurturing environment that strives to instill Christian values. As teachers integrate rigorous academics and Christian values, students are equipped with a Christian worldview, which serves as a foundation to positively impact their world for Christ.
